Who We Are?

Colorado Afghan American Association was officially established as a Non-profit in 2023, however, we’ve been running as an organization in the Afghan community since 2016. With our Board members’ drive to help our fellow Afghans, we have connected and created a presence with majority of our community. Our ultimate goal is to establish “One Afghanistan” by bringing the Afghan community together and becoming one. This will be established, by bridging Afghans into American society, celebrate our Afghan traditions and culture, and represent our Afghan American community within our local and state government.

Fund the Next Big Thing

Our work is to organize and provide social gatherings to celebrate Afghanistan’s holidays such as Nowruz, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha. By organizing these holidays, we are connecting with our Afghan community, and bringing awareness to our American community. These events become a chance for our American community to learn about Afghanistan’s rich traditions and connect to community members.
Our long-term work goal is to build an Afghan Community Cultural Center. The Cultural Center will become a hub for hosting events, creating educational classes, setting up an Afghan café & store, and even establishing an Afghan Museum with artifacts and education open to the public!

The Colorado Afghan American Association’s mission is to promote Afghanistan’s culture, connect and unite Colorado’s Afghan Americans, and become a resource of education and support for our Afghan American community.

Experienced People

Our team is made up of many diverse Afghan community members who have a dedication for uniting all Afghans together. From elders in our community, to professionals, to compassionate individuals, we believe together we are stronger, together we have a voice, and together we are adaptable.
